Wow, has it been a while since I veggie blogged! LOL Some will appreciate this and some won't, but for those that do enjoy! I spent most of today peeling, cleaning, cutting/chopping up all of my recently purchased veggies. I filled a brown (recycled mind you) paper grocery bag 1/2 FULL of compostable materials INCLUDING the brown bag! How cool is that? Do NOT throw those scraps away folks. After you've kept what you want to feed your family make sure to take the rest and feed your soil!
I decided to use one of my tank beds this winter as my composter. I've got to order a bunch of worms to bed them down for the winter so that soil is nice and composted in to black gold for the spring!
I'm behind on getting my fall/winter veggies out, but still have time so excited to get that going next week or weekend. Stuff keeps coming up and then of course the homework that's constantly due right now!
Feed your soil, NOT your garbage can/landfill!
